How to Play:
Designate a playing area with clear boundaries.
- Each student is given a hoop.
- Choose three students to be "aliens" (taggers) and give them each a pinny to differentiate them from the rest of the players.
- Everyone else is an astronaut and walk around outer space (the playing area), holding their hula hoop around their waist.
- When a player is touched by an "alien" (tagger), they are told by that alien "spaceship down" and the astronaut must sit down on the floor inside of their hula hoop until rescued by another astronaut.
- To be rescued an astronaut touches a downed spaceship on their head and says "spaceship up". The frozen player can now get up and rejoin the game.
- Switch taggers ("aliens") every 1-2 minutes.
