Hot & Cold (or Fire & Ice)
Grade Level: K-6
Skills Developed: Cardiovascular endurance, locomotor and non-locomotor skills (running, dodging, fleeing, turning), and spatial awareness.
Equipment Needed: 2-3 blue pinnies, 2-3 yellow (or red) pinnies
How to Play:
Designate a playing area with boundaries - all players must stay within this designated area.

How to Play:
Designate a playing area with boundaries - all players must stay within this designated area.
- Choose 2-3 students to be the "ice" people (they will wear the blue pinnies) and 2-3 students to be the "sun" people (they will wear the yellow/red pinnies). Everyone else without a pinny is a runner.
- The object of the game is for the "ice" people to (freeze) tag all of the runners. The job of the "sun" people is to stop the "ice" people by unfreezing everyone.
- Runners can run anywhere within the playing area and there are no safe areas. If tagged, that player must freeze in his/her spot. The frozen player can re-enter the game when tagged by one of the "sun" people.
- Change taggers every 3-5 minutes.
