- Choose two or three students to be the guards (taggers) on the Great Wall of China (center line in the gym). The guards (taggers) can slide back and forth along the line, but must remain on the center line at all time.
- Have all other players line up across the end line of the gym.
- When the guards (taggers) yell "Great Wall of China", players run across the gym trying to get across the center line without being tagged by one of the guards. (Safety considerations - no sliding across the center line, no hard tags)
- If tagged, that player must join the other guards on the center line and try and catch other players.
- Keep playing until the "Great Wall" is impossible to cross.
