How to Play:
Designate a playing area with clear boundaries - designate 2 safety zones (one on each side) and a middle area.
- Divide the class into two teams.
- Each team gets together with their group (in a huddle) and as a team decide what they want to be - giants, wizards, or elves.
- Once both teams have decided which character they want to be, they meet in the middle of the playing area. The two teams should be standing face to face (a metre apart), spread out across the playing area.
- On the count of 3, both teams display their "action". (Actions listed below)
- Giants beat elves, elves beat wizards, and wizards beat giants.
- The winning team chases the other team and tries to tag as many players as possible before they reach the safety zone. The losing team must turn around and try to get to the safety zone without being tagged.
- When a player gets tagged, they must join the other team.
- Play for a set time or until all players are on one side.
Actions:
- Giants: put their hands up over their heads
- Wizards: put their hands out in front of them wiggling their fingers (as if they are casting a spell)
- Elves: make pointy ears on their head with their pointer fingers
